Gynaecological couches have beds of a specific design. They ensure a comfortable position for the patient being examined and provide easy access for the physician. Based on the type, the couches may be equipped with a single/twin-motor drive; they allow the adjustment of not only the bed tilt but also its height, thus facilitating patient positioning prior to examination. The bed can also be equipped with a step. Positioning is controlled by foot/manual control. The foot rests are designed in several versions. Gynaecological couches have adapted bed edges. The surface is pleasant to the touch and allows hygienic maintenance. The universal couch offers an interesting solution that can be adapted for gynaecological examinations.
